Mental Training For Motocross: Mental training is just another thing to add to the list of things to train. Mental training will make you or break you out on the motocross track… And it’s important that you are prepared for the battle you’re about to experience.
You already know the struggle I’m talking about. It’s before you even start the race sitting at the starting gate thinking that you’re probably not going to win because you think the other guys are faster than you. Or in the middle or towards the end of the race and you’re feeling fatigued… What do you tell yourself? Do you tell yourself it’s ok if you get passed or drop your lap times for this reason and that. OR do you tell yourself that this is only temporary and I WILL win this race no matter what it takes?
Mental training and preparation will help (not eradicate) those thoughts going through your mind and help boost your confidence. Confidence will start winning you races. Minor mental shifts is where it starts.
